UMUC WebTycho for online class presence
UMUC WebTycho is an online java-based system used by the University of Maryland University College. This program allows students who are taking online classes to interact with their professor as well as other students from around the world in a virtual classroom setting.
The University of Maryland University College is a school based out of Adelphi Maryland. The UMUC is a school that specializes in online learning, particularly for members of the armed forces. UMUC WebTycho is used for all online classes that are offered at the school. Some classes have an online and an “in person” component, but one can complete an entire degree through the online portion alone. With this program, they are able to see how often a student logs into the system, keep track of how often students interact with one another through the forum posts, as well as keep students up to date with their latest grades.
